Description
The Surgical Tools checker seeks to reduce the time and resources required to identify tools during checks before and after surgery. It aims to serve as an easy-to-use utility for healthcare institutions to reduce human error in monitoring and inspections that result in patient harm or loss of time during surgery.
How it works
How it works
- OpenCV2 to focus the image
- Using a canny edge detection program to obtain and edges only
- Splitting the Image up into the different tools using object detection
- Image rotation algorithm to ensure the consistent measurements of the tools
- Categorising the tools using values such as length, width, and area.
